A 1950’s Themed Wedding Welcome Party in Palm Springs, Ca

Wedding Weekends

Guests love them. We love them. And I know you will love them too!

There is something so special about getting together with your guests before the actual wedding day and welcoming them. There is so much less pressure—you can actually enjoy the wedding day and not feel like you have to rush to say hi to everyone because you only have a few hours.

So, plan the Welcome Party! You won’t regret it.

You can go even farther and make it fun, like our couple Tim & Ashley did.

1950’s Theme

Some people live for themed parties, and these guests did not disappoint! Tim and Ashley went all out. They planned their Welcome Party at The Sinatra House, the legendary former estate of Frank Sinatra. They told their guests to come dressed in their best 1950’s attire.

They even hired a Frank Sinatra impersonator, who could have fooled us!

Order of Events

First, we got together with Tim and Ashley one hour before their guests arrived. We were able to get super creative with the video and photo with Alexandria Monette (a favorite photographer of ours!). We cannot recommend this more. Having the space to capture portraits outside the wedding day is so important (in our opinion) and leaves room for creativity and variety.

Their Welcome Party consisted of cocktails, appetizers, and mingling as the guests arrived. Tim and Ashley were able to enjoy each guest with zero pressure.

Guests enjoyed music by the hired Frank Sinatra Impersonator.

Next, they served a seated dinner.

Then, they had a surprise performance for their guests! They hired synchronized swimmers, The Aqualilies, and they put on such a great show.

Lastly, they all gathered around inside while a dear, talented, friend of Tim’s family played the grand piano as Ashley and Tim shared a dance together.
